New Patient Information
Becoming a Patient
Central Endodontics provides experienced endodontic, periodontic, and oral surgery services to address a wide range of diseases, injuries, and other conditions.
Our specialists require a referral from a dentist in most cases. This allows us to make the most accurate diagnosis and provide the care that you need. In an emergency where a tooth infection or damaged tooth is affecting a patient’s work, sleep, or everyday life, we also provide direct emergency interventions.
We work with general dentists in South Gate, CA and surrounding areas. If you are seeking experienced specialists and a wide range of expertise for your dentistry patients, we can help. We are happy to work with you and your patients, review your cases, and assess the best possible treatment options for each one. Emergency Services
We offer emergency services without the need for a referral.
While most of our appointments are made through a referral by a local dentist, this is not always an option when emergencies arise. An emergency might include an advanced tooth infection or serious injury that is causing intense pain, or making it difficult to work, eat, sleep, or go about your day. In these cases, we can offer treatment without a referral.
Emergency interventions might include corrections to dental implants, root canal treatments, antibiotics, or other medications or procedures, depending on the type of illness or injury affecting you. The oral surgeon or another professional will explain the procedures needed, and resolve the situation using the most minimally invasive treatment possible.
What to Expect at Your Visit
Whether you have a referral or you are visiting for emergency services, our helpful, friendly staff will do everything possible to make your visit comfortable. We will explain the services or procedures that you need, and make sure that you understand the process. If you have this information available, it’s helpful to bring dental X-rays with you from the last six months. If you have a referral, we can get these from your dentist. We will also need the details of your medical and dental history, including what medications you are taking. If you have dental insurance, bring your insurance card. Patients under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian present. If you are having surgery, you’ll need a friend or family member to take you home after the procedure.
Your dental insurance provider may require preauthorization for certain services before you receive them. In these cases, you may need to visit the office before the procedure to receive authorization.
What You’ll Need:
- Dental X-rays from the last six months, if available
- Details on your medical and dental history
- List of medications you are taking
- A parent or guardian for minors
- A friend or family member to take you home, if you are having surgery

Dental Insurance Plans We Accept
Central Endodontics accepts most major PPO insurance policies.
This helps to make periodontic, endodontic, and surgical care more affordable and easier to plan and budget for. We also accept some HMO insurance plans, though these will require a referral from a dentist. PPO insurance policies do not always require a referral, especially for emergencies.
If you are not sure about how your insurance may cover your care, contact us. We’re happy to help make these services affordable for you. We also offer affordable payment plans during COVID-19. We work with major credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, and Care Credit.
We accept most dental insurances. If you do not see yours on the list, please give us a call. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to check for you.
